The Great Gatsby Notes #2

Tom takes Nick to meet his secret affair. They take Myrtle and went to their second house. There they partied along with Myrtle's sister and other people. Most of them drank a lot which associates with unhappiness. The chapter ends with Tom punching Myrtle in the face, breaking her nose.

Tom is described as a bully, arrogant, and a dishonest man.

Myrtle Wilson: Tom's lover. Described as a lively woman.

George Wilson: Myrtle's husband. A Lifeless man.

Reoccurring Theme: Unhappiness
